4500*(100/100) / (25/100)

QUESTION AND ANSWER

A shopkeeper purchased 245 pieces of an article at Rs.30 per piece.He spent Rs.980 for transport and Rs.1470 on packing the articles.He sold the articles at the rate of Rs.50 per piece.what is the percentage earned ?

245 pieces,50% more on each pieces=30+(50% of 30)
=30+15=45 for each pieces.
(245*30)=7350+980+1470=9800
Now the CP was changed 9800/245=40
40 per piece=40*245=9800
50 per piece=50*245=12250
Increase in amount is 2450
2450 is what % 9800=25%

(OR)

40 per piece-50 per piece=10 is difference
10 is what % of 40 ==> (10/40)*100
=25%

A shop keeper sells T.V set on discount of 8% of print price and gains 25% . if the print price was Rs.20000 then CP=?

MP=20000
8% Discount=>1%=200 so 8*200=1600
If the shop keeper sells at 20000-1600=18400
the profit is 25% so 18400=125% then 100%=?
18400/125=147.2=1%
100%=100*147.2=14720

Ammu sold 16 pens at the cost of 20 pens .profit/loss %=?

((20-16)/16)*100=(4/16)*100=(1/4)*100=25% Note:the sign is + so Profit of 25%

Ammu sold  20 pens at the cost of 16 pens .profit/loss %=?

16-20= -4
-4/20= - 1/5
- 1/5 * 100
